Ron built his first saddle in 1975. He enjoyed the challenge and liked building something that was a little different each time. In the early 80's, Ron started building his own saddle trees and continued building both saddles and trees for the next 10 years. At that time, he couldn't keep up with his saddle orders while building all his own trees, so he sold his tree business, devoting all his time once again to saddle making.
Although pleasure and ranch saddles made up the bulk of his early saddle orders, he now builds a wide variety of saddles. From cutting and reining saddles to team roping and ranch saddles he still builds one of the most comfortable saddles money can buy. Ron uses only 100% U.S. tanned leather on rawhide-covered wood trees. Every saddle is 100% hand-made by Ron, as he still maintains a one-man shop today.
